SUSBIOCROP is currently recruiting highly motivated doctoral candidates to join this international training network. The offered positions will start no later than September 2026 with a duration of 4 years and will lead to a double doctoral degree awarded jointly by the participating institutions.

Contract conditions: Full-time employment contract. The position will be offered under Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network conditions, including a competitive salary, a mobility allowance, a family allowance (where applicable) and social security coverage, in accordance with Horizon Europe rules.

Each SUS-BIOCROP DC will benefit from dual supervision by researchers from two partner institutions, providing diverse expertise and access to unique resources. Regular meetings will ensure progress, guidance, and methodological refinement. A Joint Supervision Agreement will define roles and align with institutional and project regulations. This model enhances research quality, prepares candidates for academic and industry careers, and awards dual degrees for international recognition.

Requirements
We welcome applications until 15/02/2026 from candidates of any nationality who meet the following requirements:
- Mobility rule: Applicants must not have lived or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the recruiting institution for more than 12 months within the 3 years immediately before recruitment. The date of recruitment is the first day of employment stated in the contract.
- Academic background: A Bachelor’s degree, a Master’s degree, or an equivalent qualification giving access to doctoral studies in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Bioengineering, Agronomy, Environmental Science, Biotechnology or related disciplines is required. A strong background in polymers, biomaterials, or plant/agricultural sciences will be considered an asset.
- Doctoral candidate status: Applicants must not hold a PhD degree at the date of the recruitment.
- Documentation: Candidates may need to provide official proof of residence and/or work history for the previous 3 years.
- Language skills: Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory and will be assessed through the motivation letter and interview.
